iIRENE FORTE

But beneath the surface is a brand built not on aesthetic alone, but on deep conviction - one that links ancient land with clinical precision, and personal heritage with global responsibility. It’s this rare synthesis that makes Irene Forte not just a skincare brand, but a philosophy—an uncompromising belief in beauty with purpose.

The soul of the brand lies in Sicily, on the organic farm belonging to Irene’s family. It’s more than setting—it’s source. From this plot of fertile land, rooted in the rhythms of nature and the wisdom of generations, Irene has created a line that honors the very concept of longevity. Inspired by the Mediterranean diet and informed by the principles of modern science, Irene Forte Skincare treats the skin as a living ecosystem that thrives  on nourishment, balance, and care.

“There was no brand that was both natural and serious,” she reflects. “I didn’t want naive natural; I wanted science-backed natural. So I went and found a doctor.” That doctor is Dr. Francesca Ferri, a pioneer in cosmetic chemistry who has spent decades proving that science is what unlocks the full potential of nature. Together, they formulated products that go beyond organic claims to offer sensitive skin certifications, clinical trials, and patented extracts like phytomelatonin—all delivered with the sensorial elegance of a five-star spa.

iIRENE FORTE SPA, PALERMO, SICILY

If that sounds like a rarity in beauty, it is. Irene Forte Skincare was born in luxury resorts, where efficacy wasn’t optional and the experience was paramount. “The products had to perform,” says Irene. “But they also had to transport. From the scent to the texture, to the way the bottle feels in your hand, everything is rooted in the Sicilian landscape.” The red on the packaging mirrors the sunsets. The green, Sicily’s surprisingly verdant hills. Even the spatulas are hand-carved from sustainable olive wood by local artisans.

But Sicily offers more than ingredients and inspiration—it offers a blueprint for living well. Just 20 kilometers from the brand’s farm, the town of Caltabellotta has recently been identified as one of the world’s new Blue Zones: regions where people live exceptionally long, healthy lives. The reasons, as Irene describes, are deceptively simple: fresh, local food, movement, intergenerational living, and a deeply embedded sense of community. These same values are woven into every part of the brand’s operations, from how ingredients are sourced to how communities are supported.

Irene’s commitment to local craftsmanship extends beyond her own packaging. Through the brand’s Makers Series, she elevates fellow Italian artisans—bellmakers, carpenters, watercolorists—embedding their legacy into the story of each product. Her latest collaboration? A partnership with the Sicily Environment Fund to protect biodiversity and invest in regenerative agriculture near the brand’s roots.

Despite rapid growth—Irene Forte Skincare doubled its business last year and is on track to do so again—Irene is acutely aware of the challenges facing luxury today. In an industry plagued by product fatigue, greenwashing, and overconsumption, her vision of accessible luxury feels refreshingly grounded. “We’re not trend-chasing,” she says. “We’re about the long term. Not just in the skin, but in the way we treat the planet and each other.”

That philosophy shows up in the smallest details. There are no harsh exfoliants, no aggressive treatments—just meticulously layered hydration, protection, and repair. The products are designed to support the skin’s natural microbiome, not disrupt it. “It’s not about dramatic transformation,” Irene says. “It’s about long-term health.” A concept that, like the Mediterranean diet it’s modeled after, isn’t flashy—but it’s sustainable.

Irene’s personal approach to beauty mirrors this ethos. Once a fan of lasers and high-tech treatments, she now relies solely on her own line, a Mediterranean-inspired diet, and the ritual of daily care. “I’ve simplified,” she says. “I use what works, and I enjoy the process. That’s the most luxurious thing.”

In a world spinning ever faster toward complexity and optimization, Irene Forte Skincare invites us to slow down—to reconnect with place, purpose, and what truly works. It’s a call to beauty not as performance, but as preservation. Of skin, yes, but also of tradition, craftsmanship, and a way of living that has withstood the test of time.

As Irene puts it, “My work is where I go to relax.” That alone tells you everything you need to know about what she’s built.
