GUEST CURATOR
JOHANNA
ENGVALL
Johanna Engvall has spent a lifetime paying attention to people, culture and the stories we tell about how we live. Adopted as a baby and raised on three continents, she learned early that there is rarely one way of seeing the world. That perspective now informs her work as a writer and creative consultant in fashion, beauty, food and wellness, where a fascination with human behavior -the tensions, contradictions and impulses that shape us - runs throughout.
Johanna is interested in what sits beneath the surface: the ideas and intentions behind the things we make and choose. Through Food For Thought, the retreat platform she founded, she brings culinary practice into conversation with art, ecology, movement and storytelling. More recently, that curiosity has led her toward what she calls “heart-and-hands” practices: writing more, making art and cooking good food.
Her taste follows much the same instinct. She notices the world around an object as much as the object itself, the founder using her platform to engage with ideas beyond product, a coat whose best review is strangers stopping her on the street, jewelry experienced as art. Guided by kindness, curiosity and a willingness to question rather than judge, Johanna’s edit is ultimately about what captures her attention and what proves worthy of keeping it.
MONASTERY MADE
"Every product Monastery Made creates is just beautiful inside and out. I also love their overall aesthetics. From product to content. GOLD is my go-to oil when my skin is dull and tired."
MONIES
"My profile image is from a campaign shoot for Monies. Thoughtful perfection, like pieces of art worn as jewellery."

NOUR HAMMOUR
"For autumn, I feel like pairing suede with silky, lacy camisoles. Alana Mocha from Nour Hammour is perfect."
NOUR HAMMOUR
"I can just come back to Nour Hammour's website and know that I will find a keeper. It gets cold in Sweden in the winter, and her coats make dressing for frost and ice easy."
A PART OF THE ART
"I'm fortunate to own several of A Part of the Art's luxurious wool coats. I get stopped everywhere when I wear them, or DMs flood in when I post a picture of myself wearing one. That's the best review, IRL action."

SILK LAUNDRY
"If I didn't spend most of my time in the Swedish climate, I would wear Silk Laundry every day. I believe every piece designed here could stay in my wardrobe for life. Katie, the founder, genuinely makes space for environmental, social, and artistic efforts on the website and in communication. Brands that succeed in highlighting topics that matter beyond consumerism and products earn an A+ in my book."
SANIA D'MINAS
"Sania D’minas boots are on my list for autumn purchase. Not only smart, but comfortable beyond belief."
